Originally posted on my “True Faith Defender” blog. I have been trying all day to call the Faith Defenders toll free phone number and all I get is a busy signal. You would think that Faith Defenders doesn’t want to speak to me or anyone else. It appears they have left the phone off the hook?

The Legendary Faith Defenders Building

The Legendary Faith Defenders Building

A copy of the FIRE report on Robert Albert Morey was mailed to me and I have been busy studying it. It fills in some of the missing pieces of the puzzle concerning the purchase and sale of 17601 Fitch Avenue in Irvine, CA. The report appears to end around July 2008; but it confirms evidence I obtained from the California Secretary of State and Orange County Clerk-Recorder offices as being accurate. In addition, the report appears to support some of my assumptions as being accurate.

The report documents the three church splits that occurred at FCC (Faith Community Church). I have a much improved understanding of the church splits at FCC and how these impacted other churches in Orange, Riverside, and Los Angeles counties. I have a much better understanding of the persons impacted along with the Baptist churches impacted. In addition, I have a much better understanding of why FIRE got involved in the matter as it impacted several churches and individuals that were part of FIRE.

Anyone that claims that this report has insufficient evidence that Robert Albert Morey is guilty of sin or breaking California Corporate laws has either not read the report or has no desire to know the truth. The report has more than sufficient evidence that Robert Albert Morey was guilty of sin and FIRE was right in asking him to resign from FIRE.

Some of the information in the report per my research may not be accurate but it doesn’t change the fact that Robert Albert Morey is guilty of sin sufficient to make him unfit to be an elder in charge of any church or parachurch ministry. All charges concerned illegal business practices, and bad ethics and none of the charges concerned false teaching or heresy taught by Robert Albert Morey.

Due to the fact that the report is confidential; I cannot ethically blog about information in the report without getting permission from FIRE first. I may find myself if I request permission to publish information from the report from FIRE having to explain how I got a copy of the report in the first place.

What is strange is the report was mailed to my office and delivered by one of the office staff to me. Frankly the office website doesn’t appear to generate much business other than requests that I apply for a job with another company. I have recuiters for other companies sending me Christmas cards because it appears they expect to talk me into working for another company soon?

Since it was made public by another blog that Robert Morey planned on having a CPA do an audit of the sale of 17601 Fitch Avenue, Irvine, CA I guess it is OK for me to state that it appears that Onisko & Schotz, LLP may have been hired to do that task. Since I do not consider the source of that information in the FIRE report to be a reliable source; I do not know if this fact is really true or part of the Robert Morey smokescreen of mis-information.

Frankly, it doesn't look like a picture of me. My only response to "The Online Discernmentalist Mafia" blog. I believe I will find a better watchdog photo for my blog as a result of this photo.

I have recieved a response from Susan Castillo and I am convinced that Denise of Surph’s Side blog is guilty of slander. In addition, Christian Research Network is guilty of spreading slander for not checking the accuracy of gossip posted on Surph’s Side blog. Was it too much for both to check the accuracy of their claimed facts before publishing something on the internet. Neither Surph’s Side blog or Christian Research Network has obeyed the Bible on this matter and are guilty of sin!!!!! REPENT!!!!!

Greetings, Ron,

These are my sole comments on this matter…

Great care was taken during this class to differentiate between that material which was presented to provide historical background/ an understanding of other denominations and that which might be considered appropriate and useful in the context of the Protestant, and particularly the Reformed, community of faith. Anything that was endorsed was biblically based, theologically sound, and in no way violated the spirit of those reflections of Luther as they appeared in the article. For the record, I have never before heard of the DVD of a coincidentally similar title on which I was accused of basing my class.

Sincerely.

Susan Castillo

Sir Aaron Finally Exposes Denise of Surph’s Side Blog as a False Discernmentalist? November 7, 2009

Originally posted in the “Restoration by Biblical Thought” blog which is the official watchblog of “Biblical Thought”.  Every watchblog needs a watchblog as the Bible makes it clear that a true disciple of the  LORD Jesus Christ has to test all things which includes watchblogs.

At times I disagree with Sir Aaron and sometimes I totally agree:

  1. “You both actually make my point, thanks!

Who are you both? And who are the “guys.” The only person arguing in favor of Keller, was John. (I am really having to use all my willpower to avoid snarky comments).

Based on your last two posts (and a visit to your blog), I gather that your points are: (1) Keller is a feminist because he allows women to perform functions that men who are not leaders perform including some teaching. (2) Women shouldn’t teach men under any circumstances. (3) Women can and do have the gift of discernment.

My response to you is the following:

    (1) With respect to Keller being a feminist, I disagree, as would most feminists. Keller’s view hardly fit into the classical definition of a feminist. I do get your point, and I agree that Keller’s doctrine with respect to this issue is flawed. My problem here is that you throw around terms like feminist very loosely.

(2). We agree absolutely that women shouldn’t be teaching men.

    (3) You clearly believe that women can’t teach men but yet can have the gift of discernment. “And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner.” This implies that one reason why Paul says women can’t teach men is because they lack discernment or at the very least are more easily prone to being led astray. So I agree with you that women shouldn’t be teaching men. We have no argument there. I’m not particulary convinced that women can have the gift of discernment. However, I’m willing to entertain a case for or against such a position.

Finally, the biggest concern that I have is that I don’t see how what you are doing is much different than teaching men, especially since you routinely challenge men, including pastors and elders, to doctrinal disputes. How is teaching men or challenging them over the internet via your blog or elsewhere, any different than doing so at your local church body? What male leader has endorsed your positions or holds you accountable for your what you write? What male leader has qualified you to lead in this area and confirmed your giftedness in discernment?

    Jun 29th, 2009

For the record, I strongly believe that Denise of Surph’s Side blog does not have the gift of discernment but she does have the gift of gossip. However, the gift of gossip is something all women have so it doesn’t appear to be all that special of a gift.

Apprising Ministries Assumes Rather Than Checking Facts November 7, 2009

The reason why I call “Christian Research Network” the “National Enquirer” of Christianity is that it rarely does any serious research.

This Seeking God: The Way Of The Monk DVD, which we assume formed the basis of what Susan Castillowho continues “to embrace her ‘inner monk’”–teaches in this regard was produced as an:

examination of the strange life of the Benedictine monks at New Mexico’s Monastery of Christ in the Desert, presents the traditional chants, seasonal rituals,… (Online source)

First item left out of the Apprising Ministries blog posting which this quotation comes from is that Susan Castillo was a college student per my understanding with a temporary assignment at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. She appears to be no longer listed in the Redeemer Presbyterian Church directory so maybe she has returned to college student status.  She was not a full-time permanent member of the Redeemer Presbyterian Church staff per my understanding of information from the Redeemer Presbyterian Church website.

I took the time and effort to do  real research by sending an email to Susan Castillo which is something that the researchers at Christian Research Network is too lazy to do.   I got the following response from Susan Castillo:

Greetings, Ron,

These are my sole comments on this matter…

“The Way of the Monk” course was a one time course which is no longer offered by Redeemer Presbyterian Church per the Fall 2009 course schedule.

I continue to be amazed at how many members of the Christian Research Network make assumptions or speculate rather than carefully checking the facts before posting a blog article.  Few newspapers in the USA would be so sloppy with the truth as it would soon result in a loss of credibility.

Too  much of the time what is published by members of the Christian Research Network is simply gossip that was never checked to see if it was accurate information.

All true Spiritual Discernment males know that Ken Silva is in rebellion against God for recommending that men including himself read a Spiritual Discernment  blog written by a woman. Apprising Ministries is a false spiritual discernment blog that clearly supports the Woman’s Liberation Movement.  Without doubt,  Apprising Ministries has the secret agenda of putting a woman pastor in the pulpit of all churches in the USA.  It is time that this secret conspiracy is exposed by this spiritual discernment blog so that all true spiritual discernment males will not only stop reading “Surph’s Side” blog but “Apprising Ministries” blog too.   ;-)

You have been warned about this matter and if you ignore my warnings then I am not guilty of your sin; therefore your blood in not on my hands come judgment day.   May God grant you repentance unto eternal life on this matter.  ;-)

[This is partly satire and partly not satire ....  you go to the Bible and read what Paul has to say on this matter and pray for guidance if you have the guts to question the authority of Pope Ken Silva.]

In Response to the Silly Argument if You Had Any Spiritual Discernment You Wouldn’t Listen to Mark Driscoll Sermons or Read His Books November 7, 2009

This was originally posted on “True Faith Defender” related to a Anti-Mark Driscoll Comment Troll.  It was off topic for that blog since Mark Driscoll has no connection to Robert Morey other than a subscription to Robert Morey’s Faith Defender Twitter feed.  It is posted here as it was removed from “True Faith Defender”.   I pray daily that Mark Driscoll will repent and remove himself from Robert Morey’s Faith Defender Twitter feed.  Robert Morey hasn’t tweeted anything since June 2009 to date so maybe God has answered my prayer?

I really am having a hard time understanding why Mark Driscoll is so much hated by some so-called Christians!!!!

I can understand why Robert Morey is so much hated by some.

The evidence against Mark Driscoll too much of the time is poor and presented by someone who lacks any love or grace. There are persons who desire to push Mark Driscoll into a incoming BART Train so they can enjoy seeing him killed. It is like Mark Driscoll is the son of Satan and beyond any hope of redemption so he has to be totally destroyed and those that like Mark Driscoll have to be hunted down and exposed as false Christians. It is like Mark Driscoll is a cancer in the Body of Christ and he has to be removed at all costs as the ends justifies the means. It is like there are persons who expect to enjoy Heaven for eternity while watching Mark Driscoll and his fans burning for eternity in Hell.

This radical hate of an individual who doesn’t appear to deserve this treatment has to stop. Such hate of a person makes Christianity appear to be the religion of hate making Islam look like it really may be an religion of peace after all.

I have come up with a few ideas as to why Mark Driscoll may be hated by some; and it appears to me that a lot of persons need to get a life and stop making it their life goal to destroy Mark Driscoll’s ministry. God appears to like Mark Driscoll and there are warnings in the Bible about attacking persons who are part of the body of Christ. I am not convinced like some persons are that Mark Driscoll is the son of Satan and beyond God’s grace.

What is amazing is those that desire to destroy Mark Driscoll’s ministry typically find it strange that anyone would want to expose the many extremely well documented flaws of Robert Morey since it is politically incorrect to say that Robert Morey is guilty of any sins. I am amazed by double standards that it is OK for Robert Morey to steal money from Larry Wessels and then slander Larry Wessels to cover up the truth; but somehow it is not OK for Mark Driscoll to be a pastor of any church for reasons that appear to be ??? Sorry the case against Mark Driscoll has always appeared to me to be personal opinion with no good Biblical support. The Bible can be used to prove beyond question that Robert Morey should not be allowed to be an elder of any Christian church but I have yet to see any strong evidence that Mark Driscoll shouldn’t be an elder of a Christian church.

The typical thing tossed into my face is if I had any spiritual discernment you would know that Mark Driscoll is anti-Christ, too immature, or something else to be a teaching elder of any real Christian church!!!! Too often my spiritual discernment is that the person attacking Mark Driscoll may not be a Christian; therefore I shouldn’t listen to gossip this person has to say about Mark Driscoll.

I am tired of the argument if you had any discernment because if I really had no discernment then logically that means I am not born again of God therefore I should be treated as a person outside of the Body of Christ. However, the person acts as if I am born again of God therefore I should know by spiritual discernment that Mark Driscoll is a heretic or unfit for teaching eldership by immaturity or some other reason. It is the person attacking both Mark Driscoll and myself that has a problem in logic as the person is basically using the it should be self evident argument that Mark Driscoll is so guilty that I should know he is a heretic or too immature to be a teaching elder with no evidence having to be presented.

In the USA a person is not guilty unless proven guilty and the Bible appears to support the concept that a person should be considered a Christian unless his fruit proves the person not to be a Christian. In the case of Mark Driscoll I admit that he is flawed, he appears to be growing spiritually, he has repented of past sins which is more than Robert Morey has ever done, and he doesn’t preach Christ-less Christianity. The Bible doesn’t make it a requirement for a elder to walk on water and I am not aware of any evidence that Mark Driscoll is so flawed that he cannot be an elder in a Christian church.

Naturally I expect the anti-Mark Driscoll gang to condemn me to eternal Hell fire for this posting but what else is new??? I am sick of persons whose life mission is to destroy Mark Driscoll’s ministry in the Name of GOD!!!! As if there is any evidence that GOD has given them the authority to destroy Mark Driscoll’s ministry by gossip and silly arguments like if you had any spiritual discernment you would know that Mark Driscoll shouldn’t be a pastor of any Christian church.

Mark Driscoll @ Crystal Cathedral

As for Driscoll.

The crux of it is his incorrect conetxualising.

Suss that out. Dig deep into that.

And you will find that Mark has no qualms in meeting the carnal at thier carnality.

It is like a 15 yr old boy telling his parents how they should raise him. Plain and simply it is flat out wrong.

Per my research, it is per gossip that Mark Driscoll meets the carnal in their carnality. Why is it that those that love to attack other Christians by comments on my blog tend to not spell very well? [He claimed in a comment response that he was keyboard challenged but still he could proof-read and correct typing errors before posting.] Mark Driscoll is no 15 year old boy as he is a mature Christian man. The way you spell [or type and post without proofreading]; I ponder if you are a 13 year old claiming to be a man.

As far as the contextualization issue, I have yet to see a good argument against Mark Driscoll on this matter. Based upon the small amount of stuff by Mark Driscoll I have listened to so far; what is the big deal? I have no clue.

It is like those that hate don’t like (i.e. changed at the request of my critic) Mark Driscoll simply have to say that he does poor contextualization or simply he does contextualization, and that is sufficient evidence that Mark Driscoll has no right to be a teaching elder of any real Christian church. Per my discernment to say that Mark Driscoll does contextualization (or anything else) and not give evidence as to why that is wrong makes the person making the charge nothing but a gossip person trying to damage someone’s character.

This posting in response to the troll who keeps posting anti-Mark Driscoll comments on this blog [True Faith Defender] that I now refuse to post since his comments appear to be nothing but gossip advertizing his gossip blog. This blog doesn’t advertize Christian gossip blogs as it loves to expose Christian gossip blogs for their sin of gossiping.

Discerning is vital. Without is you get led astray. Without it you will allow your children to listen to Joel Osteen. Without it you could attend a church that preaches a false gospel and not no it. To speak much of slandering those who discern is silly……….

Absurd in fact. Have you forgotten what time these are? Perilous and difficult. It will get worse…………

If I had any children they would know from the correct spiritual discernment of Mark Driscoll that Joel Osteen is not worth listening too. Discernment that is not gossip is what I want and speaking against so-called discernment blogs that are nothing but a person’s opinions marketed as spiritual discernment equal to the Bible in authority is not slander. If you cannot deal with the truth; then listen to your spiritual discernment guide at _____ as he is a real opinionated bigot claiming to speak in the name of God.  [I will post later why I consider him an opinionated bigot.  It is a posting on my to do list.  That posting when posted is very likely to get a hate response from similar opinionated bigots but this blog doesn't allow comments.  Since I have yet to make that posting public, the name of the blog has been removed.]

I like “The White Horse Inn” as they appear to give more fair and balanced views on issues in Christendom most of the time. In addition, I like listening to “Issues, Inc.” for the same reason. I am not against spiritual discernment when it is done per what the Bible teaches.

Modest Dress

Modest Dress

Being tired of Denise of Surph’s Side blog making a big deal of how undressed Carrie Prejean is in her eyes. How much clothing does Carrie Prejean have to wear before she becomes modest? Denise doesn’t define anywhere that I am aware of what is Biblical Thought Modest Woman Clothing. It times I detect that Denise is drifting into the legalism of Islam and any moment I expect to read that Denise has decided to return to Mecca.

Modest Dress 2

Modest Dress 2

All we know is that immodest dress appears in the eyes of Denise to be whatever Carrie Prejean appears to be wearing or not wearing at the moment. Denise’s desire to gossip about Carrie Prejean’s clothing or lack of clothing as if somehow the future of Christianity depends upon Carrie Prejean’s clothing taste is a bit difficult to understand.

Modest Dress 3

Modest Dress 3

As far as Arab dress that Denise would approve as it is assumed she is headed into the faith of Islam on her personal journey to Mecca by expert spiritual discernment monitors who detect Islam growing in her mind because of her obsession with modest clothing. It is assumed that the above clothing would be considered modest. The following photo would be considered not modest in the eyes of Denise of Surph’s Side blog

Driscoll

Mark Driscoll @ Crystal Cathedral

This is a modified posting that originally was posted on my blog “True Faith Defender”.  It has been removed from “True Faith Defender” blog and posted here.   This posting was in response to Blogging Popes who have attacked Mark Driscoll for either giving a sermon at the Crystal Cathedral at all or not giving the sermon that they believe he should have given.

I was present at Crystal Cathedral and I heard both of Mark Driscoll’s sermons.  He gave two different sermons.  One for the first service and another for the second service.   This is no secret as this fact was made known by both Mark Driscoll and the Crystal Cathedral.  As an eye witness to the event whereas the Blogging  Popes have only watched the first sermon given because that was the only sermon that “The Hour of Power” broadcasted of the two sermons to date.

Mark Driscoll’s deal was that he was not paid any money even travel expenses for giving two different sermons, both sermons were to be broadcasted on “The Hour of Power” unedited, and he would keep the two sermons within the time alloted so that the sermons would not have to be edited (shortened to fit the time slot).    Per his Tweeter feed before going to Southern California to give the sermons he was busy practicing the sermons to make sure he could keep the sermons within the alloted time so that the sermons would not be edited.

When I heard both sermons in my mind was the idea that the first sermon probably would be broadcasted but I wondered if the second sermon would get censored by not being broadcasted.  For reasons yet to be explained “The Hour of Power” was slow at broadcasting the first sermon that Mark Driscoll gave at the Crystal Cathedral and all is very silent as to when if ever the second sermon will be broadcasted on “The Hour of Power”.

Why did I think the second sermon may not be broadcasted?  It was not because the sermon had any heresy in it.  It was because the sermon was too negative for the very positive message typical of “The Hour of Power”.  The sermon had to do with the pain that Jesus suffered to pay for the sins of those that he redeemed.  The sermon went too much into the negativity of sin and the price that had to be paid by Jesus to make the redeemed right with God.   Sin is a very negative topic if preached the way that Mark Driscoll did that morning at the Crystal Cathedral.

To the great Blogging Popes who condemned Mark Driscoll’s first sermon at the Crystal Cathedral which really wasn’t that bad of a sermon as it was part 1 of a 2 part sermon set since it lead up to the second sermon.  What will they say if the second sermon get broadcasted because it has yet to be broadcasted many months after it was preached.   To me the second sermon was greater than the first sermon and I count my blessings that I was there to hear it since it has yet to be broadcasted.

Although I do question the wisdom of Mark Driscoll calling Robert Schiller a brother I have no desire to condemn him over it.  Perhaps I should condemn Martin Luther over not calling a person a Christian brother that he should have?

Although I do question the wisdom of going to the Crystal Cathedral to give two different sermons that were very Christ centered particularly the second one which has yet to be broadcasted on “The Hour of Power”.   The reason I questioned the wisdom of it is that I knew his decision to give a sermon there would create a lot of controversy.   I knew that the Blogging Popes would attack him on it and condemn him for not saying something that they believed he should have said.  After hearing both sermons there in person I am glad that he did it as I was blessed to hear both sermons particularly the second one.  The reason I went to see Mark Driscoll is that I have become very impressed with him, I wanted to see him in person, and I knew he was doing something controversal that the Blogging Popes would condemn him on so I wanted to witness this controversal event in person to be a key witness on what really happened that morning at the Crystal Cathedral.

To the Self-Righteous Anti-Mark Driscoll Blogging Popes  I have the following questions.  Who made you a god over Mark Driscoll!?!?!   Who made you judge over Mark Driscoll!?!?!   Who made Mark Driscoll accountable to you as to what he preaches and where he preaches?   By what authority in the Bible do you judge Mark Driscoll?!?!
